I'm sitting here in the CHO ER at 1:28 AM on my night off...Why in the world could that be? Only Potter mania can drive a resident to such craziness. So after standing in line at Borders in Emeryville I made the trek back to CHO. What did it take? A wandering over at 6pm to "check out the action" only to realize that 120 people had already received their purple wristbands letting them in the first group of people to taste the bliss of the promised land. I, again, was second best and received the silver band. Returned at midnight to have another 100 silver people ahead of me. Too bad for David Gamboa though...ended up in the Blue line... Finally got my book. Then line number 2 for Leslie's book. I was afraid for a moment that I would be empty handed. But to my glee I now had 2 Harry Potters in my hands. Walked out the door and "brrrrriiiiiiiinnnnngggg". Who is calling me...4-2-8, 3-....ah! I know who this is. I connect on my cell..."Where's my Harry Potter?" Sigh...I better run to the hospital STAT. So that brings and ending of my tale for this evening. What lies in store for Harry, Ron, Hermionne, et al? I cannot wait to find out.
PS: It saddens me to know that little children in London have already received and finished their books while Leslie and I are sitting here in the ED just reading the opening lines. Oh well...no sleep for us tonight.
PSS: Yes...I'm a dork. But happiness is geekdom.
