ED overnightin'

It's been a long time since anyone posted so I thought I would put some musings on life in the ED overnight. Fy Fy and I are here holding down the fort and giving Rona some business as she is night float. Some key things to make overnights better:
1. Work with people you enjoy: Fy Fy you rock
2. Bring snacks: I always have a Trader Joe's bag full of goodies for all when I am on. Last night it was grapes and Kettle Chips (Black pepper flavor.) Tonight it was hummus, pita chips, and baby carrots. I am not sure what will be on the menu tomorrow-I mean later tonight.

Fy Fy wants to say hello. She feels like we are on isolation. Someday we will see the rest of you... We miss you. I am sure that if Rona was here she would say hi too.

Speaking of isolation, I have been on a nocturnal schedule for weeks. I was Urgently Caring and now I am doing night/overnight shift in the ED. I don't think I remember what daylight is like. Maybe I am fine tuning my night vision. Okay, it is getting late/early in the ED I think I am getting punchy.

See some of you soon at the Monterey conference! Ah, 3rd year sleepover again!

Hugs and kisses from the ED crew!!
(Leslie and Fy Fy)
